Ooo - sudden shiver of recognition! I bet this is what parts of the North look like in THE FALL OF THE KINGS.
That’s where I grew up (well not in this house but close by)! It’s a replica turfhouse made in the seventies and it sits close to the Búrfell hydro-electric power station in the Þjórsár valley in Iceland. Us kids would go over there to climb on the roof. It’s my favorite place in the world. Also it was featured on Game of thrones or something.
OK - that is insanely cool to know. Thank you!
Delia Sherman (KINGS co-author & spouse) wants to go there, now….
Slowly, slowly working on my garden now. Most of it will be white, so it’s magical and ethereal by moonlight, but there will also be blue and purple blooms, along with the occasional pink “Brother Cadfael” rose, foxglove, and peony.

Great corporate identity design!
Like fiery eyeball thing, no problem. But don’t even try to imagine a Samoan elf. (x)
Springtime essentials. One day, the snow will melt, and I can traipse about in the woods without snowpants under my gown.
